Beyond viewing and measuring the 3D models, Measure & Create lets you create your own objects — bunks, piles, and labels — so every storage structure on your operation is represented, even ones that were not part of a processed measurement.
What you can create
- Bunks and piles — draw your own storage structures. On 2.5D map features you can create silage piles and bunks directly on a satellite map of your farm.
- Labels — use the Label button to name what you see (for example “Pit 3 — BMR Corn Silage”) so the view matches how you talk about your farm.
(Looking for aerial-image labels and annotations? Those live on the Inventory V2 page’s image section, where Add Map Label annotates your farm photos and shows an “Annotation saved” confirmation.)
Creating a bunk or pile
- Open Measure & Create and select your Farm and Site.
- Open the Create menu and pick the shape — under Pile: Trapezoidal or Rounded; under Bunk: 2 Wall Bunk, 3 Wall Bunk, or 4 Wall Bunk.
- Outline the structure on the model or map by clicking its corners.
- Save it with Save Location — you’ll give it a name (at least 3 characters) and confirm the farm, site, and date. Use a name your whole team recognizes — this label is how the location appears elsewhere in the app.
Where your creations show up
User-created bunks and piles from the Measure page can be shown on the Inventory page alongside Aurox-measured records — there is a toggle to show or hide user-created bunks/piles. If a page tells you it has no locations yet, creating one here is the fix: “Create a location using Measure & Create or contact support.”
Once a location exists, you can maintain its data like any other record — see Editing inventory records.
2.5D map features (satellite imagery)
With 2.5D map access you can work on satellite imagery of your farm rather than only on flight-based 3D models — including address search to find your farm and drawing structures straight onto the satellite map. Availability depends on your plan and, for Enterprise teams, on your role:

- Enterprise users need the M&C Power User role; the M&C Classic role covers the standard tools on 3D models. See Team roles and permissions.
Tips
- Draw structure outlines at ground level around the full footprint, the same way you would outline a volume measurement.
- Keep naming consistent between your map labels and your feed records so nothing gets double-counted.
- Deleting a location removes its associated data from your views — you will be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.
