Your inventory is most useful when the people who plan rations and finances can see it. Inventory V2 gives you two ways to share: a PDF snapshot and a live view-only link.
PDF Report
The PDF Report button (bottom-right of the page, once your data has loaded) downloads a report of the currently selected farm, site, and flight date. The report contains a header with the farm, site, flight date, and density basis; your annotated aerial images; and the inventory data table with the columns you have visible on screen — including the value column. Use it for:
- Sending a snapshot to your nutritionist ahead of a ration review
- Documentation for lenders or insurance
- A dated record of inventory at harvest or year end
The report follows your Density basis (As Fed / Dry Matter) and your data-table column choices, so set those the way you want them before downloading. (The Total Inventory horizon toggle affects the on-screen cards only, not the PDF.)
View-only Link
The View-only Link button (top-right of the filters bar) creates a read-only link to the selected farm, site, and flight date that you can send to anyone — no SilagePlan account needed. The recipient sees the data but cannot edit anything, and cannot navigate to a different farm, site, or date — the link is pinned to what you shared.
Use it when someone needs ongoing visibility rather than a snapshot — a nutritionist who checks your position weekly, or a business partner following the season. Links expire 30 days after creation for security; if a recipient reports a dead link, generate a fresh one. A link also stops working if you revoke it or lose access to the farm.
Who sees what
- A PDF is frozen at the moment you download it — nothing changes after that.
- A view-only link shows the inventory as it stands when opened, without exposing editing, uploads, or account settings.
- For a teammate who should work in SilagePlan rather than just view it, invite them to the account instead — see Team management and roles.
